Hair transplantation

The usual areas are the scalp, eyebrows, and beard. Around 60% of patients who apply for hair transplantation are men with androgenetic alopecia caused by an excess of testosterone. It makes the forehead hairline move towards the back of the head, and the hair at the top become thinner. The most common reasons among women are drooping eyebrows, scars after injuries, operations, and esthetic procedures.

The procedure can be performed on any patient who has not had any oncological diseases in the past year, has no damage to the skin barrier, and whose donor areas allow for it (the hair in the back of the head must be of adequate density).

The procedure is painless. It is preceded by analgesia, so the patient does not feel anything other than light touches.

It takes around 9-12 months for the hair to take root and start growing. After the first 3-4 months, some hair is expected to fall out, which is a natural phase of hair growth.

Some scabbing may be visible for 3-5 days.

We do not recommend this procedure in the summertime due to increased sweating; all other seasons are suitable. It is important not to wear anything that covers your head for at least five days after the operation.

Hair transplantation is performed by transferring one hair follicle at a time from the occipital donor area. At first, the new hairs will grow longer, but eventually, their length will adapt to the usual length of the person’s eyebrows.
